This public forum is for everyone interested in the performing arts.

How does a great idea go from vision to being experienced by an audience? Producers including Stephen Blackburn, Caroline Armstrong, Mark Westerby and Lisa Maule – all with different approaches – will investigate the challenges and success’ of being a producer in Wellington. This forum is for anyone interested in the performing arts, from experienced producers to early career artists.

Attendance is free but RSVPs are essential to admin@eatwellington.org.nz

Lisa Maule is a Senior Tutor at Toi Whakaari (Lighting Design & Production Management) and she will be presenting a case study of her independent work – the Southern Corridor Project, which she is co-producing with director Heather Timms.

Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School alongside Emerging Artists Trust (EAT) and the Wellington City Council are supporting this initiative to support the sustainable growth of New Zealand performing arts.  Producing new work in collaboration with others is encouraged amongst the student body at Toi Whakaari including annual Pitched Projects funding and many graduates also go on to generate their own projects.  Toi Whakaari encourages creative and pragmatic skills alongside passion, vision and drive.
