Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School has an Open Programme that provides professional industry level and community level workshops in various aspects of the performing arts.

All workshops are held at Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School, Te Whaea National Dance & Drama Centre, 11 Hutchison Road, Newtown, Wellington.

Workshops for Prospective Students

We run low-cost, heavily practical short workshops every year during the secondary school term breaks for prospective students interested in the performing arts.

Acting and  technical workshops will be run again this year:

22 – 24 April: Auditioning for Actors & Sound Workshop.

MASTER CLASS SEASON 2013

A diverse range of one and two-day workshops covering every aspect of drama performance and production, taught by some of the finest teachers and tutors in the southern hemisphere.

Summer Intensive 2014

9.30am – 4.30pm, Mon 27 – Fri 31 January 2014

Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School’s inaugural Summer Intensive offers an immersive week-long professional educational experience, combining fun, experiential, interactive workshops with direct, practical learning. You will be taught by experienced industry professionals and surrounded by other passionate collaborators.
