In addition to producing a wide variety of theatre shows and films, Toi Whakaari hosts a number of other events showcasing the work of its design, costume, technology, directing and management students:

Open Day Fri 31 August 2012

Considering a career in performing arts? Then this is the day you won’t want to miss – the whole of Toi Whakaari in action for one day. All our classes will be on as usual, and we are simply throwing the doors open so you can get to see exactly what goes on here, meet all of us, observe the students in all of our courses at work, and chat to them and to staff about what it is like studying at Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School.

Costume Showcase

The annual event showcasing the graduating costumiers’ major works and other highlights from the year, including millinery, corsetry, masks and the variety of costumes from recent Toi Whakaari productions.

Design Exhibition: In Collaboration

Fri 9 November

The conclusion of our Graduate showcase week, and an informal opportunity to help build connections across our stage and screen communities. We invite designers, directors, makers, technicians, managers, writers, and producers to meet each other as well as our group of graduating future collaborators.
