Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School invites cosplay creatives to come get their 2021 Armageddon costume or comic inspired fantasy fashion ready with Con Crunch – a two day cosplay construction masterclass with legendary Weta Workshop sculptor and costumier Sanit Klamchanuan (Thor: Ragnorok, Mulan, Power Rangers, Ghost in the Shell, Thunderbirds Are Go) who is teaming up with Toi Whakaari to run this epic weekend.
Sanit is excited to share with you his world-class costume skills saying, “In this workshop I will be demonstrating and sharing techniques that I have learned on my own and at Weta and have now adapted especially for cosplay creation.”
The weekend will start with morning masterclasses from Sanit, where he will guide you to craft a detailed face mask and protective / decorative arm bracers. After Con Crunch you can keep the mask and bracers you create.
In the afternoon Sanit will work with you one-on-one to Crunch out your own Con masterpiece – whatever stage you are currently at. Sanit will be on hand to offer advice and practical assistance the help of with Toi Whakaari staff, Francis Gallop (Set & Props HOD) and Kaarin Slevin (Costume HOD). This is also a great chance to use and check out the Toi Whakaari Set & Props and Costume workshops.

Sanit Klamchanuan Bio
Sanit aka Spicythaidesign, has been making and designing cosplays for seven years. Sanit has been working at Weta Workshop for the past six years, work in many different departments such as paint and costume. He has worked on films such as Power Rangers (2017), Ghost in the Shell, Thor: Ragnarok and recently in the costume department for the Walt Disney Movie Mulan, where his main role was prototyping in foam.
