Every year Toi Whakaari delivers around 35 productions, graduate exhibitions, major costume works and set builds. Over 5000 members of our community engage with our productions.
These productions provide the opportunity for students to hone their skills in everything from acting, costume construction, arts management, and design for stage and screen.
The Production Fund covers production elements (lighting, sound, set decoration and props), music rights, photography, location fees, other technical elements and external specialist expertise that are above and beyond day-to-day running costs.

Our training makes the extraordinary possible. Your giving ensures a thriving performing arts sector.
Toi Whakaari is unique in the way it supports students through Aotearoa-centred learning perspectives. And productions are the training ground for students to tell their, and our nation’s, unique story. Over three years, productions enrich learning in different aspects and we see students’ inspiring progress over the course of their training.
Taught by renown experts and educators with broad industry and community connections, our prestigious qualifications are a mark of quality that opens doors to a successful career. Our talented alumni are sought after, in front of and behind the scenes, by the world’s leading productions.
We take students on this creative journey thanks to the generous funding of unique people like you. You know the pride you feel when Aotearoa’s artists stand out on the world stage.
Together, we can continue to break barriers and inspire the next generation of leaders and innovators through the performing arts.
