We have been advised by Government that Wellington will be moving to Level 2 from midnight Monday 15 through to Wednesday, 17 February.

Toi Whakaari remains open at Level 2.

The health and safety of our people (staff, students and visitors) remains our top priority.  

What’s happening for Toi Whakaari at Te Whaea

Level 2 means Toi Whakaari remains open and we continue with our increased level of safety, hygiene measures, staying home when sick and tracking movements.

  • Mandatory mask wearing will be in place - please BYO
  • Entry to Te Whaea is limited to the main doors only
  • Please use the COVID tracer upon entry
  • Staff, students and manuhiri are all asked to sign in at reception
  • 1 meter social distancing will be in effect
  • Hand sanitiser will be available

The following changes will be made for our pōwhiri to welcome our new students, staff, whānau and manuhiri on Monday 15 February: 

Venue change: the pōwhiri will now be outside at the Te Whaea upper car park

Time change: please meet outside Te Whaea at 11am for 11.30am start (previously a 9.30am start) – tuākana students will be on site to help you.

  • As we are holding the pōwhiri outside – our students, whānau and all manuhiri are very welcome
  • Mandatory mask wearing will be in place - please BYO
  • 1 meter social distancing will be in effect
  • Hand sanitiser will be available
  • Please use the COVID tracer 
  • Kai will be pre-packaged to remove handling of food
  • Weather forecast: high cloud / 22°
